A little over two weeks since Samsung launched during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 at Barcelona, Spain the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Korean tech giant has yet to announce the official roll out of its flagship smartphones to the global markets.
The US market is actually one of the most interested in getting its hands on to the latest smartphone offerings from Samsung.
It is also a very important market for Samsung since Apple has dominated the American market last year which enabled it to pull the rug from under Samsung and dislodge the Korean tech company as the No. 1 smartphone manufacturer in the world.
Word on the American tech community indicates that Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge will officially hit the US market on April 11, less than three weeks down the road.
The information was actually based on a source who is reportedly working for a US wireless carrier, so the chance of it being accurate is high, notes BGR.
Maybe not too
However, since the release date on the US market has yet to be announced or confirmed by Samsung, April 11 could also be a rumor at this point.
And only a corroborating statement from someone who is more authoritative than somebody who works for a US wireless carrier can do that. That someone should, at the very least be an employee of Samsung to ensure the accurateness of the leaked information.
The other reason that an April 11 launching could not be true is that the date falls on a Saturday. Based on its history, never did Samsung officially release a product on a Saturday. But then again, Samsung may have change tack from its typical launching strategy.
All these information leaks shall be validated by April 11. For the time being, everyone in the US anticipating the latest offerings from Samsung will have to play along with the waiting game.
Bold and innovative
With their successful official launching on March 1, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge have become two of the hottest upcoming smartphones, both of which have the capability of taking the retail markets by storm.
The new smartphones are so unlike anything that Samsung has released in the past. Apart from its bold new designs, the smartphones actually utilize premium materials that go well with their cutting-edge components and superb high-resolution displays.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge feature a 5.1-inch quad HD Super AMOLED displays and are both being powered by an Exynos octa-core processors. Both smartphone models sport 16-megapixel rear-facing cameras.
For the very first time, Samsung has used metal and curved glass at the same time in designing both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
