It has been confirmed that Samsung will release Galaxy Note 8 in 2017. It will be the largest smartphone that has been released in the market till now. The screen to body ratio will be 90 per cent. The Galaxy Note 8 will come out with high-end specs for better performance. The release is expected in the first half of the year.
There is immense pressure on the release of this smartphone due to the controversy created by Galaxy Note 7. The units were called back which raised several questions on the reputation and credibility of the company. What the company is expecting is overturn the damage with Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to retain most of the features from Note 7 that the consumers missed out on due to the mishap with its batteries. Rumors earlier suggested that the battery will continue to be irreplaceable but due to the issue faced by the previous model of the Note, Samsung is expected to shift back to removable batteries.
Note 8 will come in two screen size variants that will be 5.7 inches and 6.2 inches as compared to Galaxy S7 Edge with only one option. The phone is said to have the functionality of artificial intelligence which would compete with Apple’s Siri and Google Assistant. It will be built into the operating system and would be activated by the user’s voice.
Reports suggest that Galaxy Note 8 will have a groundbreaking 6GB RAM with 4K Resolution and a powerful processor. The internal storage would be up to 64GB with a micro-SD slot for expansion which the brand has maintained from the beginning.
The camera will be another addition to the new trend of the dual camera feature with 8MP and 16MP sensors. In addition to this, the phone will also include a fingerprint scanner and an upgraded S Pen. The Note is going be the first phone which the largest screen and high specs. In the past, phones with bigger screens have been released, but the specifications were not at par.
Owing to the incidents with Note 7, the generation of Note 8 is still under question. But considering the repute of the brand and what it was led to, Samsung is working in every possible way to make Samsung Galaxy Note 8 the biggest gadget up till now.
Samsung is expected to use the best and latest processor for the upcoming model. It may be powered by a Snapdragon 830 or Exynos processor depending on the variant markets. The company is said to make the best phablet in its history with this release with a few additional components from the company. By this, they expect to gain the confidence of the buyers back.
Samsung may also introduce an app which will be similar to the iMessage app in Apple along with the forced touch sensitivity. The technology will enable high-quality voice and video calls, group calls and will work across different mobile operators. Its motive is not only to compete with Apple but with other messenger carriers like WhatsApp, Hangouts, and others.
Following the trend of avoiding the use of the number ‘4’, the serial numbers for Note 8 will be SM-G950 which was reserved for the new Galaxy Note 8. The processor that the smartphone would use might also be created altogether from scratch with the Shannon 359 modem. This will add to the battery life and interface.
