Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Envisioned to Take the Mantle from the Galaxy S6 Edge+ as the Korean Tech Giant’s Flagship Phablet in the UK and Europe this Year, More Details!

While all eyes and ears may be on the upcoming flagship smartphones of Samsung – the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, reports now have it that the Korean tech giant is also looking at launching a new flagship phablet this year, the Galaxy Note 6.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was launched in South Korea, the US and other Asian markets in August last year but it never made it to the UK and Europe. Instead, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S6 Edge+ in the region, which was met with huge disappointment from UK and European consumers.

In order to redeem itself for the goof-up regarding the non-release of the Galaxy Note 5 in the UK and other European countries, Samsung is said to be looking at launching the Galaxy Note 6 this coming August.

This also means that the rumored Galaxy S7 Edge+ phablet will be shut off completely from the UK and European markets, notes V3.co.uk.

The Korean tech company is expected to make the announcement regarding its flagship smartphones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 to be held later this month in Barcelona, Spain and rumors also have it that Samsung might unveil the Galaxy Note 6 in the same event.

However, there are also speculations that Samsung might announce the Galaxy Note 6 in August this year and would likely make it to the UK and European retail markets a few months after.

Larger display and bigger RAM

While the features and specifications concerning the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 going on the internet these days are mere rumors and speculations, most of them are actually consistent.

And if there is consistency in the rumors, it is often that those are accurate or near accurate.

Two of the most exciting and extraordinary features of the Galaxy Note 6 making the rumor mills these days is that the phablet will have a slightly larger display of 5.8 inches and a major bump in its RAM. Accordingly, the Galaxy Note 6 would have a 6GB of RAM, which would be a big jump from the 4GB of RAM of the Galaxy Note 5.

However, there are also sporadic reports that are saying that the Galaxy Note 6 shall have an 8GB of RAM, which would make the phablet really groundbreaking.

The phablet is also reported to sport a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, which is not a big surprise as the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge are also rumored to have 12-megapixel cameras as well.

Samsung will apparently be using the Sony IMX377 sensor that the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P Sport are using, which shall also be used by the upcoming HTC One M10, details Android Headlines.

There are also reports saying that the camera of the Galaxy Note 6 shall have a 4K resolution and shall be capable of streaming 4K videos as well.

Two processor options

Typical with the recent Samsung devices including its upcoming flagship smartphones, the Galaxy Note 6 shall come in two processor options. Just like the Galaxy S7 which shall have a Qualcomm Snapdragon and Exynos chipset variants, the same will hold true for the Galaxy Note 6.

The Galaxy Note 6 shall reportedly have a larger battery that shall ensure longer usage with its 4,000 mAH power source.
