Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) to Come Out Very Competitively Priced for a MidRange Smartphone!

The 2016 versions of the midrange smartphones of the Korean tech giant, the Samsung Galaxy J7 and the Galaxy J5 have been touted previously to come out this June, which shall mark one year after their respective predecessors came out on the market last year.

While their respective specifications, capabilities, and features have already made the rounds on the internet, their prices were not yet officially made available by the Korean tech company.

The midrange smartphones were officially announced in China earlier this year that critics believe that those shall only be made available in the country.

However, it seems that Samsung made the unveiling in China because much of its major competitors in the midrange smartphone category are in the country and if it wanted to make a splash in the segment, it needed to face the competition head on.

That’s in addition to the fact that China is the biggest market for midrange smartphones, followed by India, with North America at third.

Eventually, it becomes clear that Samsung shall also launch the Galaxy J7 (2016) and the Galaxy J5 (2016) in major smartphone retail markets in the world.

With less than a month to go before its launching, Samsung has finally unveiled the official prices of the two midrange smartphones at its home market in Korea.

Accordingly the Galaxy J7 (2016) will come out in June with a price of $315 while the Galaxy J5 (2016) shall be valued at $255. At these prices, the latest of Samsung J series smartphones shall be competitively priced, which means that it will give its competitors a run for the consumers’ money not only in China but in other smartphone retail markets in the world, details Tech 2.

Packing some punches

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) and the Galaxy J5 (2016) really pack some punches as midrange smartphones. Both have very interesting hardware and their design features a metal frame.

The Galaxy J7 (2016) has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD resolution and shall run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It is to be powered by an octa-core processor running at 1.6GHz and supported by 3GB of RAM. It shall also come with 16GB of internal storage with an option to expand up to 128GB via microSD card, details The Times of India.

The Galaxy J5 (2016), on the other hand, features a smaller 5.2-inch super AMOLED screen with HD resolution. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood with 2GB of RAM. It shall also come out running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with 16GB of internal storage with provision for expansion up to 128GB through a microSD card.

Both smartphones also feature a 13-megapixel camera on their back and a 5-megapixel front snapper. Their cameras also have f/1.9 aperture lens and an LED flash.

Expected to do well in India

Many critics believe that the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) will do well in the Indian market the way its predecessor did when it was officially released in June of last year.

However, the array of competition for the Galaxy J7 (2016) will be tougher as it will be up against the likes of the Motorola Moto X Play, OnePlus X, Lenovo Vibe S1, and the Xiaomi Mi 4.

In terms of price, the Galaxy J7 (2016) will come out more expensive than the OnePlus X, the Lenovo Vibe S1, and the Xiaomi Mi 4 but a bit cheaper compared to the Motorola Moto X Play.
