Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) Leaked Photo Reveals Device Slightly Larger than Predecessor

Sam Mobile reports that the 2016 edition of the Galaxy J7 is likely to be released mid-year and the Galaxy J5 (2016) handset will be initially available online before it heads straights to stores. However, Samsung needs to confirm if these reports are true.

As for the Galaxy J5 (2016), International Business Times reports that the device will feature a 5.2-inch touchscreen with a 1280 x 720 screen resolution.

Under the hood, the handset will carry a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset. It is said to pack a 2GB RAM along with 16GB of internal storage expandable through a microSD card.

Gadget 360 speculates that since the Galaxy J5 (2016) will be priced lower than the Galaxy J7 (2016), it will be running on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The website adds that the Galaxy J5 (2016) will feature a 13MP rear cam and a 5MP front snapper with LED flash. It has also been reported that the smartphone would have an NFC support, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi.

GSM Arena reports that leaks of the Galaxy J5 (2016) have surfaced and that the device will be available in two color options — white and gold.

However, since Samsung has not yet given their official word on their upcoming mid-range smartphone devices, it is best to take leaks and renders with a pinch of salt
