Samsung Galaxy Grand 3: What Can We Expect? Phone Still Remains a Mystery!

Samsung’s Galaxy Grand 3 is one of the hottest, most anticipated devices on the smartphone market right now – and that’s not very surprising at all, given Samsung’s track record in this particular line of their products. The company has established a very strong name for the Galaxy Grand brand, and the line is very popular with a particular niche of smartphone users. With that in mind, it shouldn’t be very surprising that the Galaxy Grand 3 is enjoying a lot of eager anticipation from fans, and there are tons of rumors going around about the device.

So far though, not much is known about the phone, as even most of the leaks about it don’t seem too credible. It’s not known how large the device is going to be, nor what kinds of specifications it’s going to offer – and unlike most other smartphones in its state, we don’t even have any alleged leaked pictures of the device yet. Some rumors have indicated that Samsung are aiming to make the phone a bit smaller than previous installments in the line, but at the same time there are also rumors claiming the exact opposite, so it’s hard to tell where the truth is right now.

One of the most prominent rumors about the phone’s hardware specifications points towards a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset. The phone is also rumored to have a dedicated GPU (no surprise for a device of its class though), and 1.5 GB of RAM. Additionally, it will allegedly come with 16 GB of built-in storage.

One thing that’s a bit strange about those rumors is the claim that the phone will ship with Android 4.4.4 KitKat. For a 2015 device, that would be quite strange, as Android 5.0 is becoming the norm for phones coming out these days, and the Galaxy Grand 3 is not going to be a cheap device either, so it doesn’t really make much sense for the company to release it with an older version of the operating system.

On the other hand, it’s Samsung – the company is known for their slow development tempo when it comes to releasing updates for their phones, so it wouldn’t be that surprising if they’re planning to release the Galaxy Grand 3 with an older Android version, and then update it to a more recent one.

It’s still a move that’s guaranteed to annoy some of the company’s fans though, and Samsung probably realize that – so hopefully, when the new Galaxy Grand 3 ships, it will actually have a more recent version of Android on board, even if it has to have Samsung’s own additions to the OS.
