Just like we have mentioned before, the high end smartphones are released from Apple, Samsung, LG and HTC, but that is not the only path they take to gaining market share in the mobile world. Each of the companies has released a watered down version of its high end smartphone to emerging markets. The idea is that everyone wants a smartphone, but most cannot afford to get the best phone on the market, so companies are forced to released something that can be bought by anyone.
Emerging markets are those that can barely understand the concept of the smartphone, but the number of people that own one is starting to rise in the area. Companies like Apple found this to be one of the best times to develop a cheaper version of a smartphone so every one can upgrade from the old flip open style phone. Samsung has plenty of high end devices on the market today, so it is nice to see a little change of pace.
The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 is going to be released in India at some point. The company has not confirmed a release date, but according to one source, you can see it posted in the Samsung India store as in stock. When it comes to specs, the Core 2 is exactly what you would expect for a mid-range device for emerging markets. It comes with a 4.5-inch touch screen display that features a WVGA resolution, which is less compared to the Moto G.
The good news is that the phone is powered by a quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.7GHz and that is paired up with just less than 1GB of RAM. RAM has become a very important part of you having to make the call on which smartphone to buy. For the most part, the Core 2 has many of the same features that a starter smartphone would have, including 4GB of internal memory, 5MP camera on the back side, support for dual-SIM cars, 3G support, Wi-Fi connections and Bluetooth connections.
The phone is being compared to the Moto G from Motorola, but from we can see, the Moto G is going to be the better smartphone in terms of specs, overall. The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 comes with a 2,000mAh battery which is one that allows you to get through the entire day without having to do a quick charge. Even though it will come with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed, there is no guarantee that the software will be upgraded right away.
