If not, we might not hear much more about the A9 in the future, although looking at the way people are talking about this phone on the Internet right now, it would be a smart move to bring it out to other markets too.
People seem generally excited about the A9, and this has been the trend ever since the phone was first unveiled. There is a lot of interest in the overall package, and the price definitely works in Samsung’s favor too.
But if the company is only going to limit this phone to the Chinese market, then they might have something else planned for the rest of the world. There is speculation that the A9 is a “test device” used to get some market data on usage patterns before making a more advanced phone.
However, knowing Samsung and the resources they have at their disposal, this rumor does not sound very likely. If they wanted to do something like that they could have easily used their already available market research data, which they must have in large volumes given the scale of their operations and their presence on the market as a whole. Of course, a little fresh information can never hurt either.
