News from the company has been rather scarce and limited and most of what we’re hearing so far has been in the form of rumors, but we do occasionally get a rumor that’s repeated multiple times from different sources, which is usually a good indication for its credibility.
The A8 in particular has been enjoying a lot of attention since its announcement, and the biggest question about the phone right now is about its availability. Are Samsung going to decide to share it with the rest of the world as well?
As we said above, it’s most likely an experiment with the market to see what kind of reception this phone is going to get, and if it does end up successful in China, then we would expect to see it released in other markets soon as well.
Plus, the phone will already have been hyped up quite a lot due to its limited availability, so Samsung won’t have to put a lot of effort into its marketing. Maybe that’s the reason behind the limited release too – they could be trying to follow the footsteps of the OnePlus One, which was released in a very limited fashion and subsequently enjoyed a lot of attention, making it one of the hottest phones on the Android market for some time immediately following its release.
