There was a report in a Japanese website about Kingdom Hearts 3 having been unlisted from the Xbox platform. Parent Herald has reported that the absence of Kingdom Hearts 3 from the Xbox listing was a glitch, and the error has been rectified since.
The same Japanese website has apologized for scaring the fans of the much-anticipated game while adding the game to the Xbox listing. Although the Xbox listing is out, there is no news about when the preorders will commence.
Even though there is no information on when the game is going to release and when the preorders are going to start, the fans are busying themselves with the latest news about Kingdom Hearts 3. Mobile & Apps reported that Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to introduce a playable character called Kairi.
This is great news for the fans since they have been campaigning to get the developers to introduce Kairi in the game, as a playable character, for a while now. Kairi was first seen wielding a Keyblade, in the first installment of Kingdom Hearts. Apart from Kairi, Kingdom Hearts 3 will also see Eraqus and Xehanort as playable characters.
Kairi is one of the oldest friends of Sora and Riku, and there is a chance of her being introduced at Sora’s love interest. This speculation was based on the fact that Sora always tries to grab her attention and had gone to the extent of competing with Riku to show-off his skills.
Kairi was one of the Princesses of Hearts that Heartless and Ansem wanted to defeat in order to bring the Reign of Darkness in the first installment. The players saw Sora going out of the way to save Kairi, in Kingdom Hearts 1. In Kingdom Hearts 2 she was waiting to thank Sora and Riku, for saving her life.
It was in the second installment of Kingdom Hearts that the players saw Kairi as a potentially playable character. She was seen with the Keyblade and fans anticipated that they would be able to play with her character. However, they were disappointed when they figured out that wouldn’t be the case.
This was when the players lobbied for making Kairi a playable character in Kingdom Hearts 3 after the developers announced the game. The wait was worth it since Tetsuya Nomura, the Game Director of Kingdom Hearts 3, finally came out to reveal that Kairi is going to be a playable character in the next installment, along with Eraqus and Xehanort.
