There’s also the question of the Dark Knight’s role in the story – could he play a role in the eventual death of Superman? We can’t really turn to the comic books for this one, which is why fans have been speculating so much on this point.
There are numerous different possibilities, but above all, the producers of the film are likely going to keep their doors open for potential future installments. This doesn’t really say anything about the death of Superman one way or the other – even if they killed him off, they could still bring him back later as we described above.
With that in mind, there will be a lot of attention for “Batman v Superman” once it’s out, and it’s going to set some precedents for the future development of this part of the characters’ universe as well. We hope that any negative developments will be kept to a minimum or at least compensated by lots of positive moments, although at this point it looks like the film could be quite dark.
