Rumors Claim That Superman might Die in Batman v Superman: How Likely Is It?

There have been lots of rumors about “Batman v Superman”, but not much official information yet. Recently though, some of those rumors have been getting a bit worrying, as new information has been surfacing that has generated a lot of discussion on the Internet. The most recent rumor about the film indicates that Superman might be killed off, although so far the details are a bit unclear and it’s hard to piece the whole puzzle together.

Recent reports have stated that Doomsday will be partnering with Lex Luthor in the new film, even though it was originally expected that Luthor would be the main and only antagonist in the production. Still, it’s usually not in Luthor’s style to do his dirty work on his own, and it’s realistic to expect that he would have his fair share of henchmen, some more impressive than the others.

And of course, if Luthor makes an appearance in the film (instead of just being referenced as an off-screen character), he’s most definitely going to get in a fight with Superman, but we have no idea how that fight could end. Of course, any fan of Superman would expect the hero to win just like always has, but there are some rumors that this might not be the case in the end.

After all, Superman didn’t always win in the comic books – and it was Doomsday precisely who actually killed the superhero in the original storyline. This is the main reason why fans have been worried about his presence in the storyline. It’s possible that this might not be the film in which he kills off Superman, but it’s also an indication that Doomsday is going to have at least some sort of presence in the plot, so it looks like things will eventually lead up to the superhero’s death.

Of course, Superman didn’t die for good in the comic books – it wouldn’t be a true superhero story if he did. He was eventually revived and the story continued with him, but this doesn’t necessarily have to happen in the same film.

Batman Vs Superman

In other words, it’s possible that we might see Superman dying in “Batman v Superman”, only to be revived at a later stage. But if that’s true, then this particular film will have a very grim, dramatic ending, and it may not be a typical superhero movie, rather something darker and more thought-provoking. This is definitely not a bad thing by default though, as this is one of the cinematic universes that can definitely benefit from some serious drama thrown in.
