Ronda Rousey’s name has been in the news a lot lately, and the athlete has been receiving a lot of recognition. Her performance in the ring is nothing short of amazing, and she’s been the center of attention for the press for quite some time now. And the praise continues, as Business Insider have recently announced that they’re giving her the title of the “most dominant athlete alive”. Many fans of the fighter would probably be quick to agree that she deserves the title entirely, and she’ll likely continue to get recognized for her achievements in even greater ways.

The list compiled by Business Insider spans across all kinds of sports, it’s not just about fighting ones – it includes names from basketball, for example, but of course there are still lots of prominent fighters all over the list. In total, there are 50 well-known names listed by Business Insider, and Ronda Rousey has managed to beat various other prominent athletes.

Number 2 in the list is LeBron James, one of the most popular basketball players of all time; Floyd Mayweather is at the 14th spot, and we also saw Jon Jones at position 18. All in all, the list seems to have been compiled with a lot of attention and careful consideration, and it should prove an interesting read to most fans of sports in general. Of course, there will probably be disagreements with some entries on that list, but in the end, it’s a matter of personal opinion.

Business Insider went into a little detail on why they decided to go with Ronda Rousey for the top spot, as they described her as a fighter that’s “not just undefeated, she’s effectively untouched”. And looking through the athlete’s career, it’s obvious that there’s a lot of truth to this statement. It will probably be a while before someone is able to finally break through her defense, and that will be one of the most interesting fights in many years.

Some of her victories have been particularly impressive, such as her fight against Cat Zingano where she managed to bring her opponent to submission in just 14 seconds, or her fight against Alexis Davis which she won in 16 seconds. She’s known for her lightning fast style, and she doesn’t beat around the bush in general – she’s in this sport for the win, and while some have criticized her slightly because of that, claiming that it makes some of her fights more boring to watch, others definitely seem to be entertained by her performance.
