It’s shaping up to be an exciting movie by many parameters, but at the same time it also has a huge potential to flop. With so much attention focused on “Rogue One”, the producers are probably thinking very carefully about each step they make with their marketing and promotion, and are afraid of revealing too much.
Their words are examined under a microscope now, so it makes sense that they would approach the situation in such a way. On the other hand though, many fans of the series would enjoy getting a little more information about what’s coming up, and keeping them in the dark for too long could have a strong negative effect on the final production.
It looks like many fans would be satisfied with a more detailed preview of the new characters that are coming up in the film, so this could give the producers a nice opportunity to reveal some spoilers without risking too much negative attention.
But in the end, we trust that they know best how to handle the promotion of their film, and they’re probably planning this out quite carefully in order to avoid making a mistake. It would be great to see “Rogue One” marking the start of an entire new trend in the “Star Wars” franchise, and the film definitely has the potential to do something like that right now.http://movieweb.com/rogue-one-star-wars-story-dark-different/
