He ended his comment by saying that he is glad the Rockstar is finally doing something so that everyone who loves “GTA V” and “GTA Online” would henceforth play legit all the time.
“GTA V” gives players the opportunity to explore the country sides. Along with the online heists on “GTA Online,” these enable Rockstar to keep players engaged until the release of “Grand Theft Auto 6” in a few years time.
While modding has been part of the “GTA IV” on the PC a few years back, Rockstar appears not intent on doing the same for “GTA V.”
In explaining its reason for the decision, Rockstar said that “GTA Online” has such a massive and vibrant community, it has been the main focus of the company to ensure that nothing detracts gamers from the experience and guarantee that it shall not have a negative impact on the overall community of players.
What rockstar is doing isn’t surprising. Most game developers don’t encourage mods or unofficial cheats in their game and when you do see it, it’s always the smaller developers. I’d be intensely surprised if you saw someone like Rockstar or EA support mods.
