Marvel announced that Captain America 3: Civil War will feature a clash between Captain America and Iron Man. However, after this official announcement, all rumors regarding Iron Man 4 died down. Recently, Robert Downey Jr. has again teased the possibility of the fourth installment in the popular Iron Man series. He posted an image on the Facebook page which was captioned “So…would the next one just be a shot of my chest hair?”
All of this gave rise to a series of various comments from fans who asked what he meant by “next one” and also speculated if Iron Man 4 is currently under development. Marvel’s plans are set out through to 2019, and there is no sign whatsoever, of the upcoming Iron Man 4. However, this isn’t a reason the studio executives wouldn’t wish to explore the possibilities regarding Iron Man 4, once their Phase 3 films are done and finished. Earlier during this year, Robert Downey Jr. said that he would once again appear in Iron Man 4. However, in a subsequent interview he declared that it’s not going to happen. However, it is clear that Robert Downey Jr. wishes to stay with Marvel for a long time.

He wishes to see how fans handle his latest tantalizing Facebook post. The image depicts the three different Iron Man branding on the various armors shown in the previous three installments. Everyone who was online to witness this immediately stormed the comments and demanded solid proof that this was a genuine confirmation for Iron Man 4. If truth be told, it does seem a lot like a long shot. Considering his childish attitude, this could just be another way Robert Downey Jr. decides to get his weekly kicks.
