Rise of the Tomb Raider Confirmed for PlayStation 4, Attracts the Attention of Naughty Dog Director!

One thing seems clear right now – the “Tomb Raider” franchise is here to stay, and it likely has a bright future ahead of it. Spreading it to all platforms equally is definitely the right move for the publisher, and we hope that the next releases in the series aren’t as restricted as “Rise of the Tomb Raider” was.

But there’s still time to talk about those. Until then, we have a brand new edition of the game to enjoy, and it should be able to keep players occupied for a while until the developers are ready to talk about a new project in more detail, whenever that might be.

Hopefully the co-operative mode works out well, because it could potentially lay down the foundations for a fantastic addition to the franchise in the long run. Many players would probably be happy to see the next game in the series designed around cooperative play from the ground up, as long as the single player experience is also kept intact of course.

VR support is also something that’s attracted a lot of attention since it was confirmed for the new edition of the game, and it could be a great addition to the franchise in the future too. VR as a whole is starting to have some serious presence in the industry, and it makes sense for even more games to implement the technology.

  1. Considering it had a years exclusivity deal on the xbox (before it would be released on PS4) that most people knew about, Tomb Raider being ‘confirmed’ for the PS4 is old news.
