There has been a couple of new music from Rihanna since late last year following her release of snippets of her new music on her Instagram account.
At least two of her songs that have been going very popular these days are the “FourFiveSeconds,” which is a collaboration among her, Kanye West, and Beattles’ legend Paul McCartney, and also “B*tch Better Have My Money.”
The third track of her latest collection of new music is “American Oxygen” which the singer performed at the March Madness Music Fest held in Indianapolis on April 4.
The song was apparently meant to promote this year’s NCAA basketball tournament and it has been playing already in commercials for the last two months. The advertisements actually show Rihanna in front of an American flag with footage from the court, notes Latino Post.
Now available for streaming
Rihanna is also part of the rebranded streaming service Tidal, so it was also not surprising t find “American Oxygen” available on the artist-owned music streaming service, with either a $9.99 a month regular subscription or the $19.99 a month premium subscription.
“American Oxygen” is likewise available for streaming on SoundCloud, along with the two other new tracks of her and her classic music including “Rock Star 101,” “Stay,” “We Found Love,” “Diamonds,” among Riri’s other hits.
It appears that more new music would be added to both Tidal and SoundCloud for streaming once Riri’s eight studio album, which has long been rumored to be carrying the title “R8” would be rolled out soon.
The latest on the album
While there have been no official details regarding the release of Rihanna’s eight studio album, latest round of reports merely offered descriptions, or reviews, as to the artist’s new batch of new music.
Accordingly, much of the tracks of the upcoming album will be more real and soulfoul, as well as have the intonation of forever based on Rihanna’s description in a recent interview with Billboard magazine.
She adds that she wanted songs that she could still perform even after 15 years. It would not be any song that was burnt out, Riri said.
Rihanna explains that she just found out that when she gets on to the stage lately, she does not want to perform a lot of her songs because she does not feel like her at all. She says that she really wants to make songs that are really timeless.
Rapper Kanye West, whom she collaborated with “FourFiveSeconds” will reportedly serve as executive producer for “R8.”
In addition, the new album shall also highlight The Machine’s frontwoman Florence Welch and Paul Epworth, Adele’s regular song collaborator. Rihanna shall also have collaborations with John Newman, Ne-Yo, and Scottish artist Calvin Harris, now being rumored as Taylor Swift’s new boyfriend, will also be part of the new album.
