Since late last year, Rihanna has been hinting that her eighth studio album is coming out very soon.
It’s been over eight years since the original bad girl came up with her seventh studio album titled “Unapologetic” released on November 19, 2012.
On December 9, for her intention of letting her fans know that she is keeping her promise to deliver new music to them soon, Rihanna posted a new music track snippet on Instagram, believed to be part of the singer-rapper’s new song titled “Kiss It Better.”
That was the second song snippet she shared to her fans in a period of two weeks. She also posted on Instagram a 15-second snippet of an anonymous song on November 25, which stirred her fans almost to no end with excitement.
While there is no specific date mentioned on the actual release or even the official title of her latest album, Rihanna nonetheless confirmed that something is indeed in the works, which is more than enough to get her fans more excited than ever.
The wait is almost over
It seems that the wait for Rihanna’s latest studio album is almost over as many believed that R8 would be launched very soon. That would surely start RihRih’s 2015 on a high note.
Cosmopolitan thinks that if the album is launched soon, then 2015 would be a very Rihanna year. Regardless of the release date of R8 however, the site thinks that 2015 would still be a Rihanna year since she is basically the pop culture president and CEO.
One day after the New Year, a new song from Rihanna, titled “World Peace” was leaked on the internet. And as expected, the leak made the online rounds quite fast and in no time, practically everybody was asking if the song is part of Rihanna’s R8 album. Most of the speculations believe it is.
Upon listening to the song, Hollywood Life finds the club song quite catchy and if “World Peace” is indeed a cut from her upcoming R8 album, then her latest studio album is perhaps the best yet from the singer-rapper.
The site also thinks that “World Peace,” upon its official release, would eventually zoom up the singles charts and would likely make a run for 2015’s summer hit, even though summer is still months away.
Focus on new music
Rihanna has been too focused on giving her fans new music that she has already set aside getting involved with anybody or go on a relationship yet again.
A source close to the singer said RihRih is done fooling around with guys like Drake and Chris Brown, believing that there is no guy in the music industry that can give her love, commitment, and honesty that she desires in a man.
The New Year is all going to be about her new album and new music for Rihanna, nothing more, the source said.
