Drake is reportedly dating Jennifer Lopez these days but he still has high regard for his former flame, Rihanna and it became obvious just recently.
Apparently, Drake has not yet forgotten his past relationship when he mentioned the “Stay” singer’s name during his concert tour.
It was during Drake’s The Boy Meets World Tour in London when he performed a couple of songs in which he dedicated it to Rihanna.
Two of his song collaborations with Rihanna titled “Work” and “Too Good” seemed to have made it appear that he is still into the “Rude Boy” songstress.
Drake even told the crowd that Rihanna is the “Queen of Everything” and also advised his male fans when and where they have to play Riri’s songs to get the girl they want because those songs will make women feel good and sexy about themselves.
The statement of the Canadian rapper enabled some critics to postulate that Drake still has high regard for Rihanna or still cares for her even though he is already dating someone else.
It can be recalled that the two broke up last November 2016 and the alleged main reason of the split was their hectic schedules at work.
Rihanna and Drake started as friends in 2009 and the dating rumors broke out in May of the same year when they were caught hooking up at Lucky Strike bowling alley in New York.
The rumors did not stop and in fact, even swirled wildly when Drake gave a hint by rapping about what happened and including it in his song titled, “Fireworks.”
Rihanna, on the other hand, debunked the speculations as she mentioned during a radio interview back then that she and Drake are just friends.
In January 2010, Drake finally broke his silence and told the public that he was dating the “Diamonds” songstress and even described the rumors as it as semi-true.
So when Rihanna featured Drake in her “What’s My Name” music video back in October 2011, fans started to get a feel that they were indeed singing beautiful music together.
Then on January 2011, Drake once again admitted his romantic feelings for Riri when he rapped a song and included the “Diamonds” singer’s name during Rick Ross’ “Mad Men” song. It looks he could no longer contain his emotions for Rihanna then.
Prior to Drake, Rihanna and Chris Brown hooked up. However, the relationship ended badly. Rihanna had the worse break-up with Chris Brown where she claimed to have been beaten up by the “Say Goodbye” rapper.
Rihanna finally moved on from the bad experience with Chris Brown and the process was partly aided by Drake.
But it seems like Drake and Rihanna had an on and off relationship too but it was several notches better than what Riri had with Chris Brown.
It was in August 2016 when Drake finally professed his love for Rihanna during the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) by saying that the singer is someone he is in love with since he was 22 years old.
However, a few months after their seeming smooth relationship, Rihanna and Drake had to finally split up because of their busy schedules.
Drake is now seeing the “Shades of Blue” star Jennifer Lopez. Both were seen in a shared photo on Instagram last December being clingy to each other.
It was reported that the 30-year-old rapper bought Jennifer Lopez jewelry worth $100,000 and the two has been spotted dating in the last few weeks.
Following the news, Rihanna reportedly unfollowed Jennifer Lopez on Instagram which sparked a rumor that the “Kiss It Better” songstress has not moved on yet from her past relationship with Drake.
But according to a recent report, Riri is busy on her career doing what she really loves and enjoying every minute of it through her new songs.
The 30-year-old musician is also spending time with her friends and family and she is not currently dating anyone.
