But we trust that the people behind “Rick and Morty” know what they are doing and how to keep season 3 interesting for fans while pushing the show forward and exploring new ideas for it.
The plot that’s been established so far certainly has many opportunities for new developments, and the show has the kind of rich universe that simply predisposes towards exciting developments and dramatic plot twists.
Because of this, we expect that the writers of the show are very carefully planning exactly what they want to do with season 3 right now and they are coming up with all sorts of creative ideas for the different episodes that we’re going to see.
If they maintain the same style that we saw throughout seasons one and two, then we should see every episode featuring a story that’s even more exciting than the one before it, and at the same time the show should touch some more complex, deep themes that not every production on television is willing to go near nowadays. That’s part of what makes “Rick and Morty” so good in the first place and why it’s managed to get so many followers in such a short period of time ever since it launched.
Alternate route: They do have the potential to simply start off with Rick already have been rescued, or pick up on another universe if they wanted to. Just don’t be too surprised if we don’t see Rick get out of his situation.
