Rick And Morty Season 3 Release Date Not Revealed, Harmon Lashes Out At Fans, Mr. Poopy Butthole’s GIFs Contain Secret Code

Rick and Morty Season 3 is on the cards, but Adult Swim hasn’t revealed a release date for the same. Adult Swim had informed that Season 3 would be a reality when Season 2 had just completed the third episode. However, the wait refuses to end since there is no concrete news on when fans can expect Rick and Morty Season 3.

At the end of Season 2, Mr. Poopy Butthole had said that the third season of Rick and Morty would not become a reality until another year and a half, which made fans hopeful that the new season will premier in 2017 spring.

Dan Harmon came out to claim at the Magic City Comic-Con that he won’t wait until 2017 to release Season 3 of Rick and Morty. He said that he would release it by the end of 2016. Some of the other writers from Rick and Morty Season 3 even claimed that they were done with the episodes around September 2016.

This news had made the fans excited since they felt that the 2016 release was a possibility. However, they aren’t hopeful anymore since Dan Harmon and his team are exceptionally quiet about Rick and Morty Season 3, and it looks like they might release the new season only in 2017.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, Dan Harmon sat down for an interview with Den of Geek and said that he was a perfectionist and makes sure that everything is perfect before they head for production. Fans are hopeful that the delay is because Dan Harmon wants everything to be perfect before Rick and Morty Season 3 releases.

According to Den of Geek, Dan Harmon hired a set of new writers for Rick and Morty Season 3. Harmon said that he wanted to go for a gender balance in the writers’ room. He also added that they didn’t compromise on quality when it came to ensuring a gender balance. They had to look harder and found excellent female writers who made some incredible contribution to the show.

Dan Harmon had also added that Rick and Morty Season 3 would have 14 episodes. This is great news for the fans since the first season had 11 episodes, while the second season only had 10.

According to iDigital Times, several animated GIFs of Mr. Poopy Butthole have released, and they supposedly contain a secret code that reveals the premiere date of Season 3 of Rick and Morty. When fans see each GIF separately, there isn’t much there, but if they viewed them together, there is a pattern.

According to Reddit, there is an embedded code in the GIFs. Supposedly the GIFS of Mr. Poopy Butthole should be read like a game of charades. The fans have revealed that the animated GIFs ask the fans to watch Raising Gazorpazorp episode from Season 1 of Rick and Morty. The episode was set to air on Adult Swim on 18th December.

There is another image that Rick and Morty have shared on Instagram and fans feel that it might hint at a Christmas premiere of Season 3. Viewers will have to wait and watch to find out if that becomes a reality.

Fans are losing patience and one of the recently lashed out at Dan Harmon on Twitter. Game N Guide reported that one of the fans asked someone to take away Harmon’s Twitter access until he finished Season 3 of Rick and Morty.
