The Season 2 finale of “Rick and Morty” left a lot of cliffhangers which should get its answers come the third season.
Dan Harmon, co-creator of the TV series, disclosed in a recent interview that another fan-favorite character Mr. Meeseeks will be featured again in Season 3. Beyond that, however, Harmon no longer has anything to say about “Rick and Morty.”
Adult Swim actually confirmed the renewal of the show early in September, which means that even before Season 2 drew to a close in October, it was already greenlit for Season 3.
The network has already ordered more intergalactic adventures of “Rick and Morty” for Season 3, which is expected to continue bringing in the viewers and impressive ratings.
Harmon says that he felt honored to see “Rick and Morty” join the exclusive club of shows with over 19 episodes. He said that it is about time for them to demand that the network allows them to draw the characters going to Hawaii.
Justin Roiland, who also lends the voice to both Rick and Morty, says that he is kind of blown away with the instant success of the TV series and he really looks forward to continuing the adventures of the two in the animated TV show.
