The Motorola DROID Turbo is the upcoming flagship from the house of Motorola, although, it shares quite a few features with the Motorola Moto X. However, the devices have their share of differences too, primary among which is the design. Both smartphones will be offered by Verizon Wireless while the Turbo will be available exclusively on Verizon!
Here are some of the basic specifications of the Motorola DROID Turbo.
Hardware:
While the Motorola DROID Turbo does not have benchmark setting designs, the smartphone will not draw excess criticism. Unlike most other devices in the class, the DROID Turbo is easy to hold and comfortable to use even after long periods. Despite the rough shape of the Turbo, the device is practical and capable of withstanding excessive external forces.
The DROID Turbo features a 5.2-inch QHD touchscreen display with a front-facing 2 MP camera and capacitive navigation buttons. The rear 21 MP primary camera is a revelation and keeps our interest alive. The rear camera features a dual-LED flash for enhanced night photography.
The Motorola DROID Turbo draws power from a Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 processor clocking out at 2.7 GHz. It features 3 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of built-in storage. The best part about this smartphone is the 3,900 mAh battery that is in place. The DROID Turbo features an NFC apart from the standard array of additional sensors.
Software:
Like always Motorola uses the stock Android platform on the DROID Turbo, much like the other devices currently manufactured. The device is currently running on Android v4.4.4 KitKat but is upgradable to v5.0 Lollipop. Verizon is offering an irritating pre-installed application, which can thankfully be uninstalled. Verizon has their specific applications such as messenger apps, which cause nothing but nuisance to the users.
Display:
The 5.2-inch display on the Motorola DROID Turbo packs in a mammoth 2,560 x 1,440 pixels along with 565ppi density. The color temperament along with the depth of colors is optimally designed for the human eye! However, as the screens continue to grow, smartphone manufacturers might reach a point where the human eye is unable to recognize the rising pixel density. The DROID Turbo’s excessively dense display is not supported on most websites as the internet is not optimized for high-density images.
Performance:
The Motorola DROID Turbo is a benchmark setting product and is slated to be the fastest operational smartphone currently in production. The combination of Snapdragon 805 and Adreno 420 GPU makes it an irresistible offer!
