Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Will See Some Familiar Faces Returning!

The “Resident Evil” film franchise is one of the better examples of a game turned into a movie, as it’s commonly claimed that this usually ends in disaster. While it’s true that the industry has seen its fair share of failures – most notably from Uwe Boll’s side – there have also been some successful examples that can easily change people’s minds.

The problem, according to most, is that a game and a film are trying to accomplish two different things and they approach their audience in different ways. That often makes it difficult to translate things from one medium to the other, and fans of a game franchise are usually left disappointed when important elements from their favorite games are missing from the film.

On the other hand, leaning too much towards preserving the “gaming” elements in the film could end up shrinking its potential audience, as not many people are interested in watching something with so many references to games.

But “Resident Evil” is a franchise that easily struck a good middle ground, giving everyone something interesting to watch without compromising the values of the video games that it represents. And because of this, it’s been enjoying the attention of fans from both the gaming and film industry alike, in both cases with quite a lot of success over its several installments.
