What seems clear at this point is that the new game is going to take the psychological horror route, similar to “Silent Hill” and the aborted “P.T.” And it is definitely going to be a lot better compared to the huge disappointment that was “Resident Evil 6.”

With a little over a month to go before “Resident Evil 7” officially makes it to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC, Capcom has released a series of teaser videos detailing the game’s mechanics and design elements.

There is a total of eight teaser videos that have been released by Capcom on “Resident Evil 7” and collectively, they actually provide a cohesive whole of the old tricks that the Japanese game developer is employing on a new game.

“Resident Evil 7” is actually the 11th game in the “Resident Evil” video game franchise.

Resident Evil 7

The snippets actually give a glimpse of the puzzle mechanics of “Resident Evil 7” as the player sifts through the inventory containing strange objects including a straw doll, a circuit board, a switchblade, and yellow balloon, which seems to be the odd object among them all. But knowing Capcom, some gamers know that it has a purpose in the game eventually.

The sound effects on the video teases also seem to suggest that a player may have to shake things loose from the containers, though.
