Resident Evil 7: More Horror and Tactics with VR Support

Resident Evil, also known as Biohazard in Japan, a game based on survival in situations of horror. It is owned by Copcom. The title developed into a video game, but it has also branched out into comic books, novels, sound dramas, action films and action figures as well. The plot of the franchise includes Zombies and various ghosts and monsters.

The first game of the series was released back in 1996, which was also the first in its genre moving on to include other genres too. Till 2015, their recorded sale is of over 61 million units worldwide, which makes it the biggest venture by Copcom.

Now that the release of its 7th title is close, a steel book edition of the same has been spotted online. This edition is available in non-US regions like UK and Australia to name a few. The edition will be accessible to fans in France as well via Amazon. By looking at the artwork on the Steelbook cover, the availability of the magnum gun is confirmed along with other benefits that will be exclusive to the buyers.

The game has already been listed on a British retailer website. The listing indicates that the pack includes 44 Mag ammo, special grenades, a set of a lockpick, solid fuel and gunpowder with access to unlock the Madhouse mode. The collector’s edition is also rumored to have collectibles like a 16GB USB that is shaped like a finger featured in the demo video of Resident Evil 7.

By adding extra ammo for the special edition buyers, one thing has been made clear that finding ammo for the gun would turn out to be difficult in the normal editions. However, this evident scarcity of ammo has given rise to many discussions amongst fans.

Fans hold the view that these pre-order ammos are not a unique factor to buy it. The pre-unlocked parts of the special edition can be later unlocked by playing the game and moving ahead. Copcom confirms that this version won’t have a lot of firing around as the plotline of the game is different from the one that has been released up till now.

Another drawback to the special edition is that it doesn’t include the base game. The fans will be required to pay extra for the base game. The final game is expected to release on the 24th of January, 2017. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The game is also expected to be released on Nintendo Switch. The company has expressed its interest towards expanding its reach to the console which would include its previous titles as well. The research is on to decide that which game will be released on which console.

Copcom is trying to determine the requirements that the users of different consoles would have. Based on this research, the release will move further. This also indicates the fact that the company might release games that are altogether new to the consoles. This will be determined by the further study on software and hardware requirements of the consoles.

The game is expected to be more psychologically enhanced than the primitive jumps and scares. The gamers as asked to expect a whole new experience which will take the scare factor of the game to a whole new level.

The game will include new fear factors. Some of these fear factors include looking each and every area for the enemy and trying to understand their working and how to chase them away.

There will be a wide range of weapons that the player could choose from. The choosing of weapon will also not be simple. This is so because some weapons would be effective on some enemies while others would be resistant to it. Some weapons could also attract enemies due to the noise they would generate.
