Republicans Plan On Repealing And Replacing ACA, People Set To Pay Higher Insurance Premiums And Lesser Coverage. Insurance Companies Unsure About The Replacement Health Care Plan

Barack Obama will be remembered as one of the greatest American President. When he had come into the office, the economy was doomed, but he turned it around. One of the most significant work during his presidency was in the field of healthcare.

Americans have always had an expensive healthcare which was beyond the reach of millions. Barack Obama with his affordable care act made a significant improvement in that sphere.

Affordable care act also known as the Obamacare saw an attack from the Republicans. However, Obama was convinced that it was a necessity. It was one of his signature legislations. The Obamacare allowed millions of Americans direct access to healthcare facilities. It made a life changing differences for many.

According to the New York Times, the Obamacare brought in people who were previously excluded from getting life-changing or life-saving care. The Affordable Care Act increased the coverage for low-wage workers.

Immigrants also received a greater coverage, and so did all the minority communities. The Obamacare also ensured that all Americans have access to cheap medical insurance.

Now with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, the Obamacare is set to see a significant change, which will not be conducive to majority Americans. Walks reported that Frank Luntz a Republican consultant has confirmed that the Republican government will repair the Obamacare to capture what majority of the Americans want.

Paul Ryan is determined to reduce government benefits for the poor as fast as possible. He says that the Republican party needs to repair the terrible US healthcare system and the first step in achieving so would be to repeal and replace the Obamacare.

This news has created a sense of un-surety among insurance holders. They do not know how their existing insurance under the Affordable Care Act would continue if Trump decides to change it.

The Republicans have revealed that they have a replacement in the pipeline which can adequately replace the Obamacare. NY Times reports that the insurers are uncertain about the move ahead and are threatening to exit the Affordable Care Act unless Trump and the Congress are more transparent about their intentions.

Trump had been very vocal about his plan to rework Obamacare. In his farewell, Obama took a moment to inform that if the new government can make improvements in the current health care system that offers medical facilities to people at lesser cost, he will publicly come out to support it.

The Obamacare is an olive branch from Obama’s term as President, and Donald Trump is determined to tear up this hallmark achievement. Reports suggest that it is impossible for the conservatives to improve Obamacare. They cannot provide a more affordable coverage to more Americans, and President Trump is aware of it.

Why Republican efforts to repair Obamacare are doomed to fail

To put it simply the Republicans are not in a position to repeal the Affordable Care Act, for a more conservative approach that ensures the same medical facilities and insurance coverage. The replacement for Obamacare falls far short of the healthcare plan created by the previous government.

Tom Price, the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, revealed that the conservatives have been working on a replacement of Obamacare for over seven years. The Boston Globe reports that the dominant feature of the plan shows that things are set to get from bad to worse.
