According to the latest rumors about “The Elder Scrolls 6”, the game is not only being worked on, it’s actually nearing completion and will soon be ready to hit the market. If the rumors are to be believed, it’s being prepared for a release in June 2015, or at least an announcement by Bethesda, who’re going to appear at this year’s E3. The event is going to take place between June 16 and June 18, and even though Bethesda haven’t confirmed the rumors, fans have been hopeful.
There have been no confirmations from E3’s side either, and it looks like we have nothing but those few rumors. Fans have been trying to reach Bethesda for a comment, but of course, the studio has been completely quiet on the issue, as pretty much everyone was expecting. It’s clear at this point that they’re only going to speak if they’re actually ready to announce the game themselves, and they want to control the hype around it quite a bit.
“The Elder Scrolls 6” isn’t the only title by Bethesda that’s rumored to be coming this year, as other rumors are claiming that “Fallout 4” is actually the game that’s being prepared by the studio at the moment. The latter rumors sound a bit more prominent too, as they have been repeated several times over the last few months, and Bethesda have additionally been giving some subtle hints that “Fallout 4” may be coming. Although, of course, the studio hasn’t really said anything specific.
The last installment in the “Elder Scrolls” franchise, “Skyrim”, was incredibly successful and enjoyed a great reception by fans, so it’s reasonable to expect that Bethesda have learned a lot from it and know how to please their fans even better in the next part of the series. There have been lots of rumors about “The Elder Scrolls 6” and what it could bring to the table, and some are actually claiming that the game is going to reverse the trend of simplifying its gameplay, and will turn the development in a more complex direction, with difficult quests and engaging combat.
Which would certainly be a fresh improvement for the franchise as a whole, and a much-needed one according to some fans too, as the game has been getting somewhat too simple lately. Many of its fans seem to agree on this issue – even though Bethesda have done a lot to expand the world of the franchise and make it more immersive, they have also cut down the overall difficulty level in the game’s quests and have made the experience a bit more streamlined, in order to make it more accessible to a wider audience.
