‘Reign’ Season 3 to Have an Amazing Finale, Reveals Actor Torrance Coombs!

Torrance Coombs, the actor who plays the role of Sebastian ‘Bash’ Valuar in the American historical drama TV series “Reign,” has just revealed through Twitter that the current third season of the show shall have an amazing finale.

Coming from someone who has been reported to bid goodbye to the TV series at the end of Season 3, it seems that the actor’s character will have a graceful exit, to say the least. Otherwise, he would have said that the finale is going to be tragic.

While “Reign” has already been renewed by The CW for Season 4, there are reports coming out that Coombs will no longer return next year.

Apparently, the actor will be moving on to another TV series called “Still Star-Crossed” where he will have a bigger and important role. He will be playing the role of Count Paris which is described as the basic Prince Charming.

While nothing much has been said about his character, there are rumors saying that the Count of Mantua is betrothed to marry Juliet, whom he has never met. Eventually, he learns later that Juliet is no more.

It would be interesting to find out how “Reign” will bid goodbye to the character of Coombs, whether he will be killed off or just drop completely out of the radar.

Something big to look forward to

Coombs also announced on his Twitter account that filming for Season 3 of “Reign” has already been completed and he promised viewers that the finale will be an epic because there will be something big that fans can look forward to, notes Enstarz.

Meanwhile, there have also been reports saying that Queen Mary of Scot, played by Adelaide Kane, will be making adjustments with a laid-back life in Scotland after she loses power and the opportunity to grab one while in England.

In a recent interview, the actress said that her character is going to stick around and see if she can help Catherine because the regency is in question at the moment, citing that it is politically volatile times in the French court.

Kane also said that there will be a lot of shifting alliances and power in France so Catherine could really use Mary’s support as another queen and as another female ruler in such incredibly misogynistic patriarchal time when people are trying to cut Queen Catherine down.

She added that the TV series is going to keep the court in England and also keep the court in France too so it is going to be like a three-pronged show that will be bigger and meaner than ever.

Renewed despite not-so-good ratings

Despite declining ratings beginning in Season 2, “Reign” has been renewed by The CW for Season 4, which many critics believe is going to be the last for the show.

It also did not help “Reign” one bit when it was moved at the start of its current Season 3 to Friday night, making it tougher for the TV series to attract viewers, notes TV Series Finale.

The show’s ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings for a particular show, the better its chance of survival.

Reign Season 3

Season 3 of “Reign” is currently on its 94-day hiatus with less than a month to go before it returns to the air on April 25 with its episode 11. The show’s 10th episode was aired on January 22 yet.

Although it is an acclaimed show as it focuses on Mary, Queen of Scots, and her tumultuous life at the center of 16th-century European politics, its ratings have been on a downhill since its premiere season.

Thus, even the loyal viewers of the show, along with the producers, cast, and crew, are worried that Season 3 may be its last.
