‘Reign’ Season 3 Second Half to Focus on the Return of Queen Mary to Scotland to Improve Her Chances of Winning Against England!

The CW has just announced that the midseason premiere for the second half of the American historical drama TV series “Reign” will be on April 25, which is exactly 92 days after its first-half finale was aired on the small screen on January 22.

While much of the information about the show are based on what transpired during episode 10, actress Adelaide Kaye, who plays Queen Mary, has recently posted on her Instagram account a picture of her donning her Queen of Scotland costume and sitting in a dark castle.

She captioned the photo as Queenie in the castle before putting a little trivia by asking which castle it is, notes Jobs & Hire.

According to fans and critics of the show, Queen Mary will be returning to Scotland. She needed to return to her homeland to improve her chances of winning against England in addition to the fact that her people are slowly turning against her already and she needed to appease them.

During the first half of Season 3, she was seen having difficulty finding a husband to become her ally against England. Queen Mary needs to return home in order to consolidate her strength and improve her chance of getting a crack again at the England throne.

Done writing for the second half

Meanwhile, the writers of “Reign” have confirmed recently that they are through writing for the second half of Season 3.

The writers made the disclosure via Twitter after they posted a non-revealing status that they have just wrapped up work and put a hashtag #ReignSeason3 in the caption.

The pencil pushers described the current season of “Reign” as amazing and can hardly wait to see how fans would react to their work.

The writers’ confirmation also quashed rumors and speculations that the second half of “Reign” has already been cancelled for good. Because of the great length of the show’s hiatus, reports started coming out that The CW may have already decided to junk the show for good because the network already has a loaded programming the rest of the way.

But with the network’s confirmation of an April 25 air date for episode 11 of “Reign,” titled “Succession,” it seems clear that the rumors of cancellation of the TV show are false. That’s in addition to the fact that there is hardly a network that cancels a TV show on its mid-season break and The CW does not want to be the odd man out in that rather absurd category.

According to Cartermatt, the loaded programming of The CW has evidently caused the long hiatus of “Reign” Season 3 but since the show is already confirmed to return on April 25, then it is likely meant to air and take the spot of either of the network’s two popular TV series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “iZombie” on either Monday or Tuesday night.

Alliance that is turning into romance

Episode 10 of Season 3 of “Reign” was aired on January 22 and things started to get more interesting as the Queens try to outdo one another while dealing with their own issues.

The next episode of “Reign” is likely to focus on the developing feelings of Gideon, played by Ben Geurens, with Queen Mary.

During the previous episode, it was shown that Mary forged an alliance with Gideon to go against Elizabeth, played by Rachel Skarsten. Together, they actually fooled Elizabeth’s spies by making it appear that it was actually Gideon who seduced Mary.

But Gideon has truly developed feelings for Mary. Although it seems that Mary is also starting to feel the same way which was also evident to viewers during the episode 10 titled “Bruises That Lie.”

The Queen of Scots struggled to contain the feelings she has for Gideon. Making matters worse is the fact that the future of her dominion actually depends upon some political issues which she has to attend to so she might have to suppress the longing of her heart for a while.
