‘Reign’ Gets Renewed for Season 4; Torrance Coombs to Exit the Show after Current Third Season

By the second season, Bash’ involvement with a witch named Delphine and his childless union with Kenna has strained the pair’s marriage forcing Kenna to leave him while pregnant with another man’s child.

According to CarterMatt, the Canadian actor’s exit from “Reign” has to do with the fact that he will be joining a new project by ABC.

Torrance will star in “Still Star-Crossed,” which takes up where William Shakespeare’s classic “Romeo and Juliet” ends.

The “Edward” star will portray Count Paris, the guy whom the Capulets had wanted to match up with Juliet. Shonda Rhimes will serve as executive producer for the upcoming ABC series.

The series is penned by Heather Mitchell and will also star Wade Briggs and Ebonee Noel. Coombs reportedly inked a one-year deal with the show. Apart from “Still Star-Crossed,” the actor will also star in “The Last Heist.”

Torrance has likewise announced his departure from “Reign” via Twitter. The “Tudors” star states that him leaving “Reign” does not mean that it’s the end of Bash which hints that the character may still return as a guest in future episodes.

This means that his character won’t likely meet his death, unlike Francis. The remaining episodes of Season 3 are expected to detail how Bash will leave France.
