Red Dead Redemption 2 Set To Follow Part 1’s Lead!

Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be one of the most popular video games when it arrives on the market. There was an announcement this week by a Senior Engineer at Rockstar stating that the sequel is being worked on and that it will be called “Red Dead Redemption 2”. The first part of the series was the second most popular video game from Rockstar right behind the Grand Theft Auto series, it would be hard to say that the second game will not follow the same path.

The announcement puts Red Dead Redemption 2 development ahead of other games like Manhunt and Bully, but that is not going to bother anyone at this time. Even though the second one was announced this week, gamers that are going to be in line to purchase the game will have to wait until this time next year. According to reports, the game is not scheduled to be in stores until November of next year.

Most of the rumor sites follow the same path and when there is a chance to question a developer or employee at the company the game is coming from, there usually is very little information to go on. If you are very interested in at least getting an announcement right “from the horse’s mouth” you can do so by attending the PlayStation Experience event. There are a few reports posted online that are saying an official announcement could come at that time.

Sources that reported on the second installment of the game earlier this year are saying that Red Dead Redemption is going to be referred to as a “permanent franchise”. Another game that was labeled the same thing was BioShock and this happened at the Cowen and Company Analyst conference this year. That speaks volumes about what the developers think of the game since that would put it right up there with the Grand Theft Auto series.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Since the original Red Dead Redemption was labeled as “Game of the Year” last year and the company even released a Game of the Year Edition to commemorate the occasion there is little reason to believe that the second game in the series would fall short of those expectations. When the game is released, there are good odds that it will be released for Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and maybe even a Microsoft Windows version. That way everyone gets to enjoy the series no matter what console you have plugged into your television.
