The rumors and speculations about the open world Western action-adventure video game “Red Dead Redemption 2” are just so many that one would think that it is about to come out anytime soon.
Unfortunately, game developer Rockstar Games has yet to come out with an official announcement or statement regarding the release date of “Red Dead Redemption 2.”
There are reports that the game would come out early next year, but there are also speculations that it would roll out to gaming shelves in October 2016.
The October 2016 release date seems to have a better leg to stand on compared to early next year since it has been the tradition of the New York City-based developer to release video games in October to be able to capitalize on the immediate Holiday season that normally comes with shopping frenzies.
Another rumor that seems to be getting louder as of late is that “Red Dead Redemption 2” shall reportedly have three additional playable characters. Accordingly, the first two characters will be Irish and Seth. Irish is said to be bank teller from Kansas City while Seth is someone from Ireland who migrated to America. The third character will apparently be created by the players, which is similar to the “GTA V Online,” details the Latinos Post.
There are also reports saying that Jack Marston, the son of the main protagonist in “Red Dead Redemption,” shall be featured in the upcoming gaming as the new main protagonist.
Integrating a dynamic multiplayer mode
Recent reports also have it that Rockstar is currently looking to hire a network programmer who specializes in a wide range of gameplay mechanics for an open world game. While the job ad did not specifically mention that the network programmer will be for a certain game, many believe that it is for “Red Dead Redemption 2.”
The new position in Rockstar’s development team will apparently be in-charge in the integration of dynamic multiplayer mode into all areas of gameplay of “Red Dead Redemption 2” as well as its complex open-world environments.
There have been countless theories regarding the possible plot of “Red Dead Redemption 2.” One speculation suggests that the game would be set in Japan, which seems unlikely considering that the game always had a Western setting.
And if the supposed title of the upcoming game “Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West” is on target, there is simply no way of having an Eastern country like Japan being the setting for a Western-themed video game. West is normally about dry and arid desert which Japan certainly does not have.
There are also reports saying that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will be largely set in the Western part of the US and shall move towards the East.
Accordingly, it is possible that players of “Red Dead Redemption 2” will get the opportunity to move via the railroads and go through other US states like Kentucky, Alabama, North and Sout Carolina, among others.
The original game on Xbox One
When “Red Dead Redemption” was released in 2011, it came to the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC.
However, as the next sequel of the game will be made available to the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC when it finally comes out next year, Microsoft is now taking the extra effort of making the original game become available first on the Xbox One.
Microsoft has made available 104 game titles to the Xbox One starting on November 12, through its so-called backward compatibility program, notes the Express of UK.
Mike Ybarra, Director of Program Management for Xbox, said that they believe that gaming is universal and should be enjoyed by everyone and everywhere.
