The studio obviously wouldn’t want to create competition between its own titles, and that’s exactly what could happen if they were to announce the next “GTA” right now. Even if they are working on the game, we don’t expect to see it until at least the end of 2017.
For now, fans should enjoy the upcoming trailer for “Red Dead Redemption 2”, and if they have any specific requests for the upcoming game, now is the time to make their voices heard. As we said above, it’s very likely that the developers are paying attention to online discussions and would be willing to integrate some suggestions in the game within reasonable bounds.
Judging by the way most people are speaking about the multiplayer component of the game though, Rockstar may soon give up following those discussions if they don’t want to feel too disheartened about the future of their project.
There seems to be a lot of negativity about this feature in some circles, but it’s hard to tell if those are niche opinions or if they represent the view of a larger majority.
It will become more obvious in the coming weeks once those discussions gain some traction, and by that point we might also see Rockstar moving their announcements about the game in some very specific directions, in order to bring focus on the positive aspects of the game’s multiplayer, and to calm down the masses.
