‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ No-Show at E3 2016 Disappoints Anticipating Gamers; Sony Reportedly Called Off the Launch of Trailer Due to Orlando Shooting Incident!

Contrary to reports, rumors, and leaks that have literally flooded the internet before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California until June 16, the open world Western action-adventure video game “Red Dead Redemption 2” was a no-show at the press conference event of Sony Computer Entertainment.

While there have been reports saying that video game conglomerate Take-Two Interactive plans to make a big presence at this year’s E3 event with “Red Dead Redemption 2,” that did not happen, much to the great disappointment of millions of highly anticipating fans and gamers.

Sony’s E3 2016 press conference was really impressive as usual, as the company put together everything avid gamers wanted to see as well as pulling off some huge surprises too, notes the University Herald.

According to rumors, Sony was really intent on launching “Red Dead Redemption 2” during its press event but decided at the last minute not to because of its violent nature.

Some reports are saying that Sony’s decision not to launch the violent gameplay trailer of “Red Dead Redemption 2” has something to do with the recent Orlando shooting resulting in the death of 50 people and injury to 53 others.

Instead of “Red Dead Redemption 2,” Sony unveiled “Days Gone” during its E3 2016 press event.

According to an insider, the gameplay trailer of “Red Dead Redemption 2” that would have been launched on June 14, actually feature mass killing. In one of the scenes in the trailer, the protagonist steps into a saloon and shoots everyone, which is what exactly the Orlando killer did when he entered the bar.

Keeping silent about it

Both game developer Rockstar Games and publisher Sony Computer Entertainment have refused to divulge details on what was the reason for not launching the gameplay trailer of “Red Dead Redemption 2.”

Thus, fans and gamers would have to wait a little while longer as to when Rockstar Games will finally decide to launch “Red Dead Redemption 2.”

But it is more likely to happen in the next few months before the game is officially released to the gaming consoles next year.

However, Adam Boyes of Sony has recently come out to dispel rumors that “Red Dead Redemption 2” was bumped off from the Sony E3 presser because of its violent gameplay trailer, cites the PlayStation Lifestyle.

He said that as far as he knows, nothing was cut from the press conference at all. But it could also be an effort to appease fan frustration over the no-show of “Red Dead Redemption 2.”

As it is, “Red Dead Redemption 2” could still launch at the following gaming events this year including Gamescom, the Paris Games Week, the Tokyo Game Show, and the PlayStation Experience. It is almost sure that Rockstar Games will pick one of the four events to finally launch its highly-anticipated “Red Dead Redemption 2.”

The game will feature a famous gunslinger

The consensus of the rumors about “Red Dead Redemption 2” is that it is going to be a prequel of the original game and shall come out officially as “Red Dead Redemption: Legends of the West.”

As it will be set some years before the setting of the first game, it is unlikely that John Marston would be the main protagonist of “Red Dead Redemption 2.”

Latest reports have it that the upcoming game shall feature the story of legendary outlaw gunslinger Landon Ricketts.

Landon Ricketts was first introduced to gamers in the first “Red Dead Redemption” game, who is a legendary outlaw from the Old American West. He and his gunslinger exploits made him an iconic figure.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Gamers of “Red Dead Redemption” could very well remember that John Marston actually has high respect for Landon Ricketts, who only appeared in a handful of missions in the original game.

With the presence of Ricketts, players of “Red Dead Redemption 2” could make gamers live through some of the most famous exploits of the gunslinger, which were detailed in the first game.

The players could see what really happened during the famous battle between Ricketts and the Butcher Brothers, as well as the famous Blackwater Massacre.
