Zelnick admits that not all of the video game titles that they are bringing out are going to be a permanent franchise. Having been in the business for a good number of years, they pretty much know which games have the potentials to become a permanent franchise and which games are just good for one shot only.
The Rockstar CEO said that for as long as they keep delivering incredible quality the way they are doing for the “GTA” video game series, they are going to build on the gains of a potential title with the inkling of a permanent franchise.
They believe that “Red Dead Redemption” has the biggest potential in its roster to be its next permanent franchise. It is no wonder that rumors about the upcoming release of the “Red Dead Redemption 2” have been permeating in gaming talks since last year.
Zelnick is also proud and happy that there has been so much excitement and enthusiasm on “Red Dead Redemption 2,” and rumors are saying that it will finally come out next year to the gaming consoles and the PC.
Assuming that the speculations are on target as far as the game’s release date is concerned, then “Red Dead Redemption 2” will come out five years after “Red Dead Redemption” hit the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, and the PC five years ago.
