Rare Amiibo Figurines to be Released to Retail Stores Along with Wave 4 of ‘Super Smash Bros 4’ on May 29

Nintendo will be releasing rare Amiibo figurines, namely Marth, Ike, and Meta Knight, on May 29 simultaneous with the official roll out of the Wave 4 of “Super Smash Bros 4.”

“Super Smash Bros 4” is also known as “Super Smash Bros” on Wii U/3DS and it was released in in November last year.

Nintendo’s “Super Smash Bros” on Wii U/3DS was released on November 21, 2014. It has been such a smashing success that the Japanese gaming company is now seriously looking at a historic financial rebound from a slump it suffered two to three years ago.

The information on the latest releases from the Japanese gaming company actually came no less from the official Facebook page of Nintendo as well as from a screen shot from one gamer carrying the name xTwilightPrincess in the Amiibo Reddit community, details Design & Trend.

According to Nintendo, the rare Amiibo figurines trio will begin popping up in limited quantities in select retail stores over the next few days. Gamers who are interested to purchase the Amiibo figurines should discuss with the nearest toy retailers on how they can avail of the limited release of Nintendo toy collection.

Two video games to be released

In addition to the release of the rare Amiibo figurines trio, Nintendo will also release the Silver Mario and the “Splatoon” Amiibo set as well as the Wave 4 of “Super Smash Bros” on May 29.

There have also been reports that Nintendo might also release the “Splatoon” game on Wii U. It has been the tradition of Nintendo to release Amiibo figurines first before the video game. The company made the same strategy last year with the release of “Super Smash Bros” on Wii U / 3DS.

This time however, the Amiibo figurines will be released along with the video game itself as in the case of “Splatoon.”

Amazon was actually the first retailer to get restocked with Marth Amiibo figurines and it is just waiting for the delivery of Ike and Meta Knight. But Meta Knight Amiibo figurine is exclusive to Best Buy in the US so it would be impossible to find him from other retailers, at least in the US.

More characters

In April, it was reported that “Super Smash Bros 4” will get more characters very soon. There have been reports that Ryu of the “Street Fighter” fame and Roy of “Fire Emblem” will be making their way to the “Super Smash Bros 4” primarily based on some background music files found on the 3DS version of the game.

Although the files are not definitive and cannot confirm whether the two fighters will be coming to the game as DLC fighters or not, latest developments related to new characters coming to Super Smash Bros 4 may have spill the beans on Nintendo’s newest plan to bring more excitement to the fighting video game.
