Despite successfully launching their fourth studio album aptly titled “Four” in November last year, rumors have been circulating wildly that the British boy band One Direction is splitting or will be going on separate ways.
Previous reports cited that some members of the world’s most famous boy band today have done a gig or two outside of their group especially when they’re not doing anything, particularly Harry Styles, who has been into a lot of collaboration with several music artists the past few months.
One Direction is currently on their “On the Road Again Tour 2015” and is staging concerts in Southeast Asian countries.
Simon Cromwell, who formed the band after their individual participation in the “X-Factor” UK, says that One Direction is not splitting anytime soon since the members have a contractual obligation until the end of the year. And if any of the band member is planning to go solo, they can only do it after the band’s commitments have all been completed towards the end of the year or early next year.
Preparing for the next stage
Since members of One Direction are a talented bunch, it is so easy to presume that each can actually go solo when they are through with the band.
Harry Styles has been proving his songwriting skills as of late, and there are even reports that he might consider going the way of Hollywood to do movies.
The other band members have also their respective preoccupations and gigs outside of One Direction, which only fuelled speculations that everyone is planning to go their separate ways.
Now, it is the turn of Zayn Malik to get a shot for his possible solo career after One Direction. Sugar Scape reported that rapper 50 Cent is very interested in signing up the controversial band member to his record label should Zayn decides to go on solo later on.
50 Cent was quoted as saying that he is a big fan of Zayn Malik with all that hair and high notes and he is willing to mentor him and help launch his solo career.
A career in rap
The bad boy rapper 50 Cent says that if and when Zayn Malik decides to go solo down the road, he should pick the right people to work with.
And should he consider a career as a rap artist, he could really sell records, cites 50 Cent. But then again, he has to find the right people to help become one, alluding that he is that right person.
50 Cent said that he would be very happy to sign Zayn on his record label, mentor him, and have the One Direction member work with the biggest rappers in the world.
The rapper also said that he has long wanted to work with Simon Cromwell so should the One Direction manager feels that the offer for Zayn is judicious, 50 Cent says that they can actually collaborate and make a joint venture from it.

Zayn needs to be very discerning who he signs with. This does not sound sensible to me.
