‘Rambo 5’ Shelving Also Shoots Down ‘Rambo: New Blood’ TV Series Project

Apparently, Stallone was not concerned about his age or his capability to do some more action scenes in a movie and turned down doing “Rambo 5.”

In fact, he is about to begin filming the fourth iteration to the action-ensemble franchise “The Expendables” so the age factor did not caught up on him. He just felt that there is no more good story to really compel him to do “Rambo 5.”.

Back when he said that “Rambo 5” was a go up to early last year, Stallone even trained to make sure that his 68-year-old body then can handle the rigors of filming.

However, after realizing that he was better doing a dramatic movie like “Creed” where he even got recognized by the critics and won a Best Supporting Actor award from the 2016 Golden Globes, and also a nomination for the same category from the Oscars, Stallone knew that his days as John Rambo is over.

“Rambo 5” is officially done and over with and the only way that it can ever happen is if the movie is recasted or rebooted altogether.

But the movie must need to wait to have all four film reboots first before it reaches to “Rambo 5” the same way the “Star Trek” reboot is doing with the 10-movie lineup of the original film franchise.
