‘Rambo 5’ Might Happen After All But It is Going to be a Franchise Reboot Minus Sylvester Stallone

However, he said that the character is not retiring with him and stated that he is okay with a younger actor to replace him.

He was even quoted as saying that he is willing to leave the character to someone else who is very much willing to step up to the plate. Stallone added that he does not want to be like old fighters who go back to the ring for one last time and only to get clobbered.

Stallone’s decision to give up “Rambo 5” does not mean his retiring from action movies, though. He is currently filming “The Expendables 4” in China and will be doing a couple more films including “Scarpa” and “Creed 2.”

But most of these films do not require him to do a lot of action, with the exception of “The Expendables 4” but that can also be worked around since he is doing the film with a lot of action stars so there is less rigor on his part.

It was actually Stallone himself who got the hopes of fans high up that he will still do “Rambo 5” when he posted on Twitter in December 2014 that the adventure of Rambo will continue.

Back then, the rumors were also saying that Stallone was actually doing the writing work for the fifth installment of the “Rambo” franchise and was reportedly titled “Rambo: Last Blood.”
