Last month, due to insistent clamor from fans and gamers for the fighting video game “Mortal Kombat X,” game developer NetherRealm released Jason Voorhees as part of its first Kombatant Pack.
The Kombatant Pack is the a character DLC update to “Mortal Kombat X” that brings four additional fighters to the game including Jason Voorhees, Tanya, Predator and Tremor, notes Gamezone.
Jason and Tanya have already been released last month and it is reported that Predator would be coming very soon too to be followed by Tremor.
After Tremor is released, it is expected that NetherRealm would unveil its next character DLC pack and judging from fan and gamer clamors, popular characters from “Mortal Kombat 9” Rain and Meat will most likely be part of Kombatant Pack 2.
The speculations are further fuelled by recent teases from Ed Boon, co-creator of the “Mortal Kombat” series, indicating that Rain and Meat will indeed be coming. While Boon eventually pulled back on his teases by saying that those should be taken with a grain of salt, the potential buys that a second Kombatant Pack, worth $30, could bring to NetherRealm is too tempting to refuse.
It is also rumored that the second DLC character pack will have Rain and Meat along with Baraka and Sindel.
Legendary mass murderer
In the first week of May, NetherRealm officially released a gameplay trailer of how legendary ruthless mass murderer Jason Voorhees from the “Friday the 13th” horror movie franchise fights his opponents in “Mortal Kombat X.”
Jason is every bit as ruthless as one would expect for a mass murderer who has been killed many times over but continues to keep coming back from the dead.
Armed with his equally famous machete, the gameplay trailer showed how good Jason Voorhees is in carving his opponents into pieces. And gamers would either wince or laugh on how he does it in the game with flair.
Jason Voorhees officially rolled out to “Mortal Kombat X” on May 5 but it was a week later or on May 12 before gamers was able to buy him as a DLC pack. Gamers who have tried playing Freddy Krueger in “Mortal Kombat 9” sure got a kick playing his nemesis this time around in “Mortal Kombat X.”
NetherRealm has not been making any pronouncement about the possibility of Freddy Krueger coming to “Mortal Kombat X.”
But the latest most requested character that will most likely make it to the fighting game is the Predator from the Arnold Schwarzenegger first movie fame though no official date has been set just yet by the developer for his arrival to “Mortal Kombat X.”
We’re still waiting on Predator and Tremor from the last DLC pack. At this rate,in 50 years, we’ll have all the characters.
The predator should b tall n slinder built. Remember Kevin Peter hall was 7ft 2 n with the predator suit on made him rufley around 7ft 5. So please no short preds.
I wanted Havik :/
Spawn should be next. There could be at least 3 more Dlcs. $30 is way still expensive. I’d rather spend on different games. But Dlcs are for hardcore players, no issue there. I might be selling my MKX steel case sometime October and I’ll just wait for the Komplete Edition then.
Basically what should be done is wait 6-8 months until the make a MKX ultimate edition and buy that.
Well In quan chi’s chamber, the pool where revenants are “born” the guy dancing around while you fight looks like meat
