PS Plus to Give All PlayStation 4 Players a Weekend Treat

PlayStation Plus will give all PlayStation 4 players another treat this coming weekend beginning on March 20. After a successful holding of the same promotion not too long ago, PlayStation Plus is bringing back the ‘Free Multiplayer Weekend’ where all PlayStation 4 users would be treated to free online gaming for three full days from March 20 to 22.

The offer is open to all PlayStation 4 owners, users, and gamers regardless of whether they have a PlayStation Plus subscription or not.

Every PS4 game with online multiplayer version will be open for playing, subject of course to the fact that the console should have the full game edition installed on it.

But regardless of whether it’s an old game or a brand new game that has a multiplayer component, it will be an open season for PlayStation 4 gamers in the whole of North America.

While other gamers from around the world outside of North America are also looking forward to experience the same kind of treat from PlayStation Plus, word has it that Sony is still laying down the groundwork for possible holding of a similar weekend treat in other countries, with UK and other markets in Europe being likely next on the list.

Joining is easy

For interested PlayStation 4 players, all they need to do is to log on to the PlayStation Network during the ‘Free Multiplayer Weekend’ anytime from 12:01 am of March 20 all the way to 11:59 pm of March 22 to be able to enjoy playing multiplayer games online for free.

Once they’re logged on, players can simply launch their favorite multiplayer game and start playing with their friends online, notes the PlayStation Blog.

PlayStation Plus actually expects PS4 gamers to zero in on “Battlefield Hardline,” the newest game launched on March 17 at the PlayStation 4, which has a multiplayer version.

Also expected to draw a significant number of PS4 players on the ‘Free Multiplayer Weekend’ are the online multiplayer editions of such big games such as “GTA V,” “Assassin’s Creed Unity,” “Conquest and Hotwire,” “Helldivers,” “Destiny,” and a whole lot more.

No membership commitment

PlayStation Plus also would like to clarify that joining the ‘Free Multiplayer Weekend’ does not come with any membership commitment or obligation on the part of the PlayStation 4 owners and gamers.

There is no hidden offer that comes with the weekend treat but PlayStation Plus would certainly show them the offers and the perks of being members including new games monthly, exclusive member discounts, online game saves, among other things.

Fans and gamers welcome the ‘Free Multiplayer Weekend,” although some say that the idea of paying for playing multiplayer games online is madness, citing that it should already be free in the first place since gamers are already paying their respective internet bills.

  1. “?…paying for playing multiplayer games online is madness, citing that it should already be free in the first place since gamers are already paying their respective internet bills.” – Exactly.

  2. That’s great and all but shouldn’t the treat be for the people that are actually paying for the service. The free games are OK but most are boring.
