Prometheus 2 Picks Up Where The Original Left Off!

For the fans of the Prometheus movie, hearing that Ridley Scott was going to be bringing in a sequel is pretty good news. Even though a sequel is not going to be released for more than one year, it did not stop fans from asking and speculating about the new movie and what they would like to see in it. One of the more common questions is where the movie is going to pick up. Because the movie is reportedly prequel to the popular Alien franchise, that is all fans have to go on.

In a recent interview Scott revealed how he felt about the ending to the original, stating that it was a bit of a cliffhanger. Most of the cast was dead by the end of the movie and David was only a head at that point. As the movie ended with Elizabeth Shaw trying to find a new body for David, fans had hoped that was not the end of it all.

If you remember David at all from the first one, you know that he is dangerous and also quite seductive. Scott hinted that maybe he can convince Shaw to put his head back on a body. With that being said, loyal fans knew they could not just leave the movie end the way it did. There was plenty of story to tell, it just comes down to what they are going to say about it. Because the movie is not expected to be released in 2015, there is very little information available about it right now.

According to another online source, the Prometheus 2 movie will also feature a “fresh” monster. This little tidbit was revealed while Scott was doing an interview for the film, Exodus: Gods and Kings. The new alien is expected to be the grown up version of the one born in the original movie. Scott admitted that it seemed very similar to the 1979 creation, but added that it would not be all that similar. If fact, he said that because aliens are real, that is what makes them the “scariest monsters in film history”.

Prometheus 2

The original movie was release back in the summer of 2012 and brought in about $400 million around the world. The sequel is going to feature Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender as returning cast members. Loyal fans are well aware of the time frame that is taking place while the two movies see almost a 4 year difference in release dates. According to a couple of online sources, Prometheus 2 is expected to hit theaters around the first part of March, in 2016.
