Disney are going to be teasing the new “Avengers: Age of Ultron” regularly, as it was rumored before, and the latest example of this comes in a picture from the film’s set, showing a party scene. However, observant fans might notice that this is not actually a new revelation, but a frame from a trailer for the film, in a scene where the heroes are having a relaxing night off from work, when at one point Ultron decides to make a “spectacular” entry into the party.
In the sequel to “Avengers”, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been destroyed, and the Avengers want to take a break from saving the world. Tony Stark wants to “set things on auto pilot” in a way, leading him to develop Ultron, a program designed to maintain peace and order through means of an artificial intelligence. Sci-fi fans probably knew where this was headed before the main event even happened – in a scenario similar to “Terminator”, Ultron quickly deducted that the only threat on Earth are humans themselves, and decided to start a “campaign” against them.
And now, in the new film, the heroes will once again have to band together and face yet another threat, coming up against Ultron to stop him from destroying Earth in a somewhat ironic twist. How exactly they’re going to go about that, and what kind of difficulty they’ll have to face is not yet known, and of course this is the main plot of the film so it’s not expected to be revealed at any point before the film itself is out.
Something that’s been hinted at, however, is that the heroes might have to form unlikely alliances in order to defeat their threat, and that the relationships between some characters will drastically change from what fans have known them for before. This has actually been speculated before, but how far exactly the producers are going to take the concept isn’t very well known.
Of course, as the release date of the film approaches, more information will likely be revealed in small installments, and there’s certainly still plenty of time to go until the film hits the screen. It’s currently scheduled for release on May 1, and there haven’t been any reports of delays or production issues, so there’s a good chance that it will come out on its planned date. There has been speculation about possible last-minute issues with the post-production, but that seemed to be entirely unfounded and based on rumors from fan forums. According to people close to the actual production of the film, everything has been running smoothly and the schedule leading up to May 1 is looking good.
