The producer for the high fantasy themed action-adventure series video game “The Legend of Zelda” has announced that they are pushing back the launching of the game on the Nintendo Wii U gaming console from late 2015 to 2016.
This was a big change from the announcement that video game creator Shigeru Miyamoto and producer Eiji Aounuma made during the VGX 2014 event in Las Vegas in the first week of December 2014. Back then, the two said that “The Legend of Zelda” will be coming either in October or November 2015 to capitalize on the Holiday season spending of gamers, notes Warp Zoned.
Aounuma made the announcement through an official statement released on March 27 through a video message to fans and gamers who have been eagerly anticipating the roll out of the game on the Wii U late this year.
The producer explained in his message that the recent exploration that the development team did to the game opened up new possibilities for them to make an ultimate Zelda game. So rather than be constrained by time and a specific release date, they opted instead to give their development team plenty of time to possibly come up with the best Zelda game ever.
Integrating new ideas
The series producer recalled that since he declared the launch of “The Legend of Zelda” during the Game Awards in December last year, the development team buckled down to work real hard to make it really happen.
However, the team discovered new possibilities for the game. As they tinkered on those new possibilities, new ideas also came up along the way, which according to Aounuma had the potentials to create something that even exceeds his own expectations.
That’s when he decided that instead of meeting a specific schedule, they should focus instead on bringing all new possibilities and new ideas to life in a way that will make “The Legend of Zelda” the best game it can possibly be.
Aounuma also apologized to fans and gamers for the decision to delay the release of the game on the Wii U, citing that their ultimate priority now is to come up with the most complete Zelda game ever.
Gameplay
“The Legend of Zelda” is actually a series of video games based on a hero in green who lives in a land called Hyrule. The player, who takes on the role of the hero in green, goes through the series of fantasy adventures including dungeons, an army of enemies, among other mission tasks.
The game has been done so well and has had so many iterations that it practically has its own mythology, as well as legions of fans, many of whom were already asking for the game since the Wii U was released in 2012.
Through an interesting programming, the player is also able to ride the horse through the trees. The game will automatically steer horses around the trees because as its video said: ‘horses don’t run into trees.’ Players would also enjoy the ability to shoot enemies while riding a horse.
