It was Dominic Purcell who made the statement in a recent interview where he also explained that the show’s revamp terrorism plot is quite riveting.
The actor also disclosed that the new episodes will deal with what is going in the world today with terrorism. He said that the nine-part “Prison Break” Season 5 is going to be dealing with issues like the ISIS and the ISA.
Purcell said that the show is taking place in Yemen where it will be dealing with ISIS and ISA.
The original four-season TV series ended with Michael presumably dead but he was not. He actually ended up working for a terrorist organization. It got to the point that he could not do it anymore and they threw him in jail in Yemen to change his mind. But Michael did not change his mind so he was set up to take the fall and eventually landed in jail, details Purcell.
Series creator Paul Scheuring confirmed Purcell’s pronouncements about “Prison Break” Season 5 by saying that fans are going to be blown away by the TV series which will give all the viewers a really riveting and high-tension thriller.
Scheuring even described “Prison Break” Season 5 as a cross between suspense action flicks “Bourne Identity” and “American Sniper” which would make it both crazy and really cool.
