Incidentally, some fans of “Pretty Little Liars” are hoping that ‘Emison’ would finally materialize during Season 7 or before the end of the TV series.
‘Emison’ shippers have repeatedly gotten their hopes up for an emotional reunion between Emily and Alison, only to have them doused by cold water by the likes of Lorenzo, Elliott, and a few others, notes TV Line.
However, the latest twist during the Season 6 finale, that Alison’s new husband is working for her dead mother’s secret evil twin, could actually be good thing for shippers of ‘Emison.’ With Alison’s husband taken out of the picture and Emily not having an eventful love life, ‘Emison’ could just be waiting in the wings in “Pretty Little Liars” Season 7.
Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison in the TV series, said during Freeform’s upfront presentation in New York, she does not know how long it is going to take Alison to find out about Elliott. But she says that once Alison finds out, she is going to go crazy and absolutely bonkers in the upcoming season.
Pieterse also said that Season 7 of “Pretty Little Liars” is going to be bittersweet as it is the beginning of the end.
