The midseason finale of “Pretty Little Liars” is nearing that’s why more mysteries are beginning to be laid out.
The episode opened with Hanna having a bad dream of Caleb being hit by a car by Noel Kahn, whom Hanna is certain is A.D.
Caleb then got the whole group brand new bug-free phones to prevent them from getting harassed.
As for Aria, she feels guilty for deleting a call from Nicole on Ezra’s phone some episodes ago. Fans will remember that police came knocking on Ezra’s apartment saying that Nicole might be alive.
Ezra overhears Aria telling Emily how guilty she is and was forced to reveal what happened. Ezra obviously wasn’t happy about it and asked them to leave.
Meanwhile, Alison is planning to return to school to teach. Emily thinks it’s too soon but Ali says her husband drained her bank account so she must find a way to earn money.
Also, she has a clearance from her doctor that she’s already fit to work. Apparently, aside from trying to put her life back in pieces by returning to her old job, Ali also had other agendas for coming back to Rosewood High, getting access of files from her old classmates.
On her first day back at teaching, her students played a prank on her by wearing black hoodies. It shook her up but reassures the principal that she’s fine.
Emily runs into her former teacher and tells her to apply as the swim team head coach. It appears that Lindsey Shaw’s Paige and Emily’s ex-girlfriend was also hoping to bag the job.
Another familiar face returns to Rosewood. Meg Foster’s Mrs. Grunwald shows up at Lucas’ apartment looking to warn Hanna.
She apparently had an unsettling dream and came to Rosewood to tell Hanna that darkness is surrounding her and Caleb.
Mrs. Grunwald says that the person responsible for tormenting her and her friends is someone very close to them. Coincidentally, Noel Kahn just happened to be right behind her.
Spencer and Aria also went on a mission to follow a lead on the doctor that delivered Mary Drake’s children.
It was previously revealed that Charlotte had a sibling and that kid was born around the same time the Liars were born.
They find his daughter who reveals she doesn’t know where he is and tells them to not look for him. She calls Spencer the next day and says that her office has been ransacked and blames her and Aria for it.
She then gives Spencer her dad’s address and tells her to leave her alone. When the two reach the doctor’s home, he doesn’t seem thrilled to see them but a bottle of whiskey obviously did the trick.
He reveals that he did deliver Mary’s babies. The first was a boy which he remembers giving to Jessica. The second baby was underweight but tenacious. He doesn’t remember whether it was a boy or a girl.
He tells them that he eventually became a liability for Radley and lost his license after. He doesn’t know what happened to the baby but says that he was the one who made the ‘problems’ go away.
Ali breaks into the principal’s office to look for old school files of Noel Khan. Unfortunately, it looks like A.D.’s one step ahead of her as she finds a warning note from their faceless tormentor.
This then causes Hanna to make a call to a mysterious person to say that their deal is on. She goes to Caleb and says she’ll be in New York for a few days to finish something with her and Lucas’ fashion line.
