“Pretty Little Liars” is giving it all in its final season. After a week of hiatus, the Freeform hit is back and it is all set to deliver more mysteries along with some answers.
The latest episode saw the Liars and Alison’s relationship hit rock bottom. Alison entered The Brew wearing the red jacket that the girls left for A.D. As soon as they saw Ali wearing the infamous piece of clothing, they knew that Uber A has leaked their secret.
Ali is pretty upset that the Spencer, Aria, and Emily thought Hanna’s life was more than hers. Spencer insists that they thought she was safe and that they tried to save her too.
Unfortunately, forgiveness isn’t in the area for Ali as she definitely holds a grudge against her friends.
What broke the tension was a text from Mary Drake who informs Ali about an update from her husband Elliot. Fans will remember that the girls ran over Elliot with Lucas’ car and killed him.
To cover up for the murder, they buried him in the woods and planted evidence to make it look like he left town without a word.
Turns out Elliot, whose real name is Archer Dunhill is wanted in the UK for petty theft and fraud. Detective Fury is pretty certain that he’s still close by because he still has unfinished business.
Elsewhere, Hanna is freaking out because she’s certain that Archer is still alive. She receives a call from his burner phone and it’s a male with a British accent scaring Hanna more.
As for Aria, she’s clearly distracted thinking about Ezra and his proposal. Aria’s hesitant because if the police found out what they did, she’ll definitely end up in bars and she doesn’t know if Ezra can take that.
Emily is closely watching Sara Harvey as she comes to the Radley with a gift in her hands. She then delivers drinks to Jenna’s room giving her a chance to snoop.
Emily finds a website for car rentals in Baltimore up on the screen of Jenna’s computer. She minimizes the tab and found a folder titled “Charlotte DiLaurentis,” but Sara enters the room before she can find out what’s in it.
Emily threatens Sara and Jenna that he will go to the police and tell them that Jenna knew Archer when Jenna decides to come clean.
According to Jenna, she was Charlotte’s friend and was the one that set her up with Archer and got him his fake passport. Archer loved Charlotte and was trying to get her out of the mental institution, but they needed Alison to vouch for her in court.
Apparently, Jenna was also responsible for Charlotte looking for her birth mother. Sara warns Emily that she can never come back but Jenna quiets her before she can say anything more.
Mary Drake also revealed a lot of things during the episode. She tells Ali that she never knew Charlotte, yet Ali is suspicious given that Charlotte hid behind the name CeCe Drake.
After Hanna confessed to Spencer about him and Jordan, Archer’s burner phone rings and scares them. Ali was about to go to the police station to tell everything when a policeman grabbed her.
The police wore a mask just like Archer dons Wilden’s features. While Ali did not get a chance to unmask her tormentor, she thinks it’s really her estranged husband.
Aria, relieved that they didn’t really kill Archer, told Ezra about everything. Ezra didn’t care about Aria’s story and knelt down again and proposed to Aria, and this time, Aria said yes.
However, Archer is truly dead and Hanna and Spencer returned to the woods where they buried his body and found it decaying.
